Maui , Hawaii and Saratoga , California , February 8, 2005 – Maui Games is offering its proprietary technology to embed advertising in cell phone games to cell phone game publishers and developers. The technology, which has already been shipped in over 50,000 games, enables an advertiser to deliver specific advertisements to a game. Depending upon the license selected, the publisher or developer could earn as much as two to three times the revenue obtained for the purchase of the game.
“Advertisers are looking for new and unique ways to reach their target audience,” said David Fradin, President of MauiGames. “A tastefully placed advertisement can add to the realism of the game and make it extremely memorable,” Fradin continued.
The technology enables the delivery of graphic and text ads based upon geography and schedule selected by the advertiser. Advertisers can implement contests and cross promotions with detailed tracking of impressions delivered. The technology allows advertisers access to user-supplied demographics and access frequency and duration statistics. Various types of ads such as game sponsor, in-game billboards or banners, and end of game can be delivered to targeted players.
From the user’s perspective, the technology adds unobtrusive commercial sponsorship to exciting games, the ability to compare scores with others worldwide via a leaderboard function, and advertising targeted to the user-supplied demographics.
Additional information about the licensing opportunity can be obtained by contacting David Fradin at (408) 741-0974.
